A tumultuous clash erupted between two rival criminal factions within the premises of Sassoon Hospital in Pune, triggering pandemonium and unease in the vicinity. The intense confrontation unfolded around 4 pm, stirring concerns about security within the hospital grounds.
Confrontation Escalates Afternoon Dispute
Earlier in the day, a quarrel had erupted in the Ramtekdi area of Hadapsar, leading to heightened tensions between the two opposing gangs.
Subsequently, both gangs were taken to the Hadapsar police station for resolution.
As part of this process, the police, along with personnel from the detection branch, escorted the groups to Sassoon Hospital for medical assessment.
However, matters escalated near the Outpatient Department (OPD) of the hospital, culminating in a violent altercation.
Weapons Drawn, Chaos Ensues
In a shocking turn of events, the accomplices of the gang members brandished choppers and other weapons, using them to launch an assault on one another.
The clash resulted in injuries sustained by multiple individuals caught in the crossfire.
The hospital’s CCTV cameras captured the disturbing incident, highlighting the severity of the altercation.

Security personnel and on-duty police officers stationed at the hospital promptly intervened to contain the turmoil and restore order.
Both gang members were subsequently apprehended by the police, and separate charges have been lodged against each group for their involvement in the violent incident.
