Pune Gangland: Gangster Sharad Mohol and Associates Booked for Attempted Culpable Homicide and Vandalism Spree

In a troubling turn of events, notorious gangster Sharad Mohol and approximately 8 to 9 members of his criminal faction find themselves embroiled in a legal quagmire. The charges stem from allegations of attempted culpable homicide, vandalizing vehicles, and inciting public disorder.

The incidents unfolded during the late hours of Tuesday within the Mhalunge area of Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Culprits Named: Accused Gang Members Unveiled

The roster of those implicated includes Alok Shivaji Bhalerao, a resident of the Paud road area in Kothrud; Malhari Masugade, residing in Malwadi in Punavale; and Siddhesh Hagavane, a 30-year-old individual hailing from Mhalunge in Pune.

These individuals, alongside 5 to 6 others, were acting on the guidance of Sharad Mohol, as per law enforcement reports.

Provocation Sparks Rampage: Background to the Mayhem

The chaos that erupted had its origins in a conflict involving Vitthal Shelar. It is alleged that Shelar brandished a firearm, directing threats towards Siddhesh Hagavane in relation to business-related concerns.

Fueled by a combination of rage and resentment, Hagavane rallied his associates to execute a retaliatory strike.

The focus of their aggression was Shelar’s office, which fell victim to a targeted attack involving the hurling of rocks and plant pots.

Additionally, the gang took aim at vehicles departing the premises, pelting them with projectiles.

Street Rampage: Unleashing Chaos on Mhalunge Area

The tumultuous sequence of events escalated further as the miscreants proceeded to unleash havoc upon the Mhalunge area.

Stones were hurled at vehicles navigating the Radha Chowk vicinity, leading to a reign of disorder in the locality.

Legal Consequences: Charges Imposed

Legal repercussions have followed suit, with a case registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The charges encompass Sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), rioting, 109 (abetment), and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the Indian Penal Code.

Additionally, the accused face charges under Sections 3 and 7 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act.

The case has been formally registered at the Hinjewadi police station, marking the commencement of legal proceedings.
