Pune Gangland: Gangster Gajanan Marne Faces Charges for Expressway Procession After Jail Release

Gajanan Marne, a known gangster, finds himself in legal trouble once again as the Talegaon Dabhade police have filed charges against him for organizing a procession on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway shortly after his release from Taloja Jail on Monday night (February 15) around 8:30 pm.
The procession, stretching nearly 120 kilometers, involved a convoy of 300 cars and was extensively documented using a drone camera, the cost of which was estimated at Rs 15,000.

Marne and his associates took advantage of a drone camera to record the procession’s progress.
The resulting video has gained traction on various social media platforms due to the extravagant scale of the event.
Legal Action Initiated
The FIR against Marne and his associates has been lodged by Police Naik Navnath Dhaygude stationed at the Shirgaon police chowky under the jurisdiction of the Talegaon Dabhade police station.
The formal complaint was filed in the early hours of Tuesday (February 16) at approximately 2 am.
Array of Legal Charges
The accused individuals are facing charges under several sections of the law, including Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), Section 143 (punishment for unlawful assembly), Section 283 (causing danger, obstruction, or injury to any person in any public way or public line of navigation), as well as Sections 37(1) (prohibiting certain acts for the prevention of disorder), 135 (penalty for contravention of rules or directions under Sections 37, 39, or 40) of the Maharashtra Police Act, and Section 7 (Molesting a person to the prejudice of employment or business) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act.
Alleged Intent and Actions
As per the formal complaint, the accused individuals are believed to have aimed at inducing fear among the public and disrupting public transportation routes by unlawfully congregating, igniting fireworks, and capturing the entire event on video.
This sequence of events has led to the initiation of legal proceedings against them.
