MCOCA Triggered Against Three Gangs
Responding to the surge in criminal activity, the Pimpri Chinchwad police have taken stringent measures by invoking the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against three separate criminal gangs.
Among them, two gangs hail from Chakan and Talegaon Dabhade, while another is based elsewhere. The targeted individuals include gang leader Satyam, alias Pappu Dattatray Kad (22) of Kadachi Wadi, Chakan, Kunal alias Baba Dheeraj Thakur (22) from Talegaon, and Karan Singh Rajput Singh Dudhani (25) of Ramtekdi.
These individuals are accused of a range of serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, extortion, and kidnapping, among others.
Intensified Manhunt in the City
Following the alarming shooting incidents, law enforcement agencies have initiated a rigorous manhunt across the city to track down the perpetrators behind the recent wave of violence.
The police’s intensified efforts aim to swiftly apprehend those involved and restore a sense of security to the community.
Surprise Checks Target 345 Offenders
In a move to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities, the police have undertaken surprise checks targeting a substantial number of offenders.
Approximately 345 individuals, who have secured bail, were released on parole, and have amassed more than two criminal offenses, underwent thorough scrutiny as part of this measure.
The comprehensive checks seek to prevent any potential escalation of criminal incidents and ensure the safety of the public.
