Pune Gangland: Wanted Criminal Linked to Ghaywal Gang Apprehended by Police

Law enforcement authorities from the Crime Branch Unit III achieved a significant breakthrough on Friday evening as they successfully arrested a wanted criminal associated with the notorious Nilesh Ghaywal gang.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Rahul Gosavi and was captured at Hotel Kinara on Paud Road.
Successful Operation by Crime Branch
Police Inspector Dipak Nikam, who heads the Crime Branch Unit III, disclosed that Assistant Sub-Inspector Anil Shinde and Police Head Constable Pravin Tapkir received valuable intelligence suggesting the presence of Gosavi at the aforementioned hotel.
Acting swiftly on this information, the officers meticulously set up a trap and subsequently apprehended the accused.
Criminal Background and Offenses
Rahul Gosavi, the arrested individual, is allegedly linked to two cases of dacoity. One case dates back to 2012 and was registered at Shahapuri police station in Kolhapur.
The other incident occurred in December 2017 and was filed at Koregaon Park police station. Given his criminal history and involvement in these serious offenses, Gosavi has been remanded in police custody until January 5, 2019.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Sameer Shaikh has taken charge of the investigation into this case.
