Her husband was sick and now the dog too and it made really upset and she felt her heart breaking.
She took him to a veterinarian who tested him.
When his results came, they found him to be positive.
Since this, his health started deteriorating everyday.
He developed much worse breathing problems and thick nasal mucus.
On July 11th, she saw him and he was behaving a little different.
He was very uncomfortable so she decided to see what happened.
She realised that he started vomiting clotted blood because of the condition.
Her heart broke completely.
She told her husband about it and they both had never felt sadder in their lives.
They took him to the veterinarian again and they suggested him to get euthanised.
They couldn’t see a part of their family so sick so they got him euthanised on the same day.
It’s unknown if the coronavirus had a part in his death.
Blood tests indicated that he had lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system.
He was a 7 year old German Shepherd and his name was Buddy!
Robert and Allison Mahoney feel that they have lost a part of their beautiful family really soon.
There were reports saying animals cannot catch the virus but now there are 12 dogs, 10 cats, a tiger and a lion who have been tested positive.
