PUNE, 8 December 2014

In a resolute move to rein in the escalating criminal activities within Pune’s boundaries, the Kondhwa police have executed the expulsion of notorious gang leader Pintusingh Dudhani (26) and seven accomplices from Pune city and its surrounding districts.

This decisive action, set to span two years starting December 3, aims to curb the reign of terror perpetuated by the Dudhani gang, particularly in the Kondhwa locality, notorious for their involvement in the land mafia.

Names on the Exclusion List

The list of individuals subjected to this punitive externment encompasses Pintusingh Dudhani along with Nitin Arun Kasbe (25), Balvirsingh Dudhani (30), Avtarsingh Dudhani (32), Sikandarsingh Dudhani (33), Surjit Bhend (36), Medhsingh Bhond (36), and Mansur Nurwale (35), all residing in Market Yard.

The gang’s sphere of influence extended to the realm of the land mafia, with Pintusingh and his uncle Sikandar amassing multiple cases against them, including a rioting incident documented by the Kondhwa police.

Cracking Down on Criminal Syndicates

The surge in criminal incidents and violence in Pune and its vicinity prompted the Kondhwa police to initiate measures to dismantle the operations of active criminal syndicates.

This determination led to the proposal for the exclusion of the Dudhani gang. Subsequently, the execution of this strategic move fell under the jurisdiction of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IV) Manoj Patil, who formally enacted the externment of the Dudhani gang on December 3.

Rooting Out Infamous Activities

Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Mokashi, overseeing the Kondhwa police station, elucidated the pressing need for this course of action. He stated, “The gang’s extensive involvement in a range of illicit activities has persisted over recent years. The intimidating tactics employed by the gang have deterred individuals from reporting their crimes, creating an atmosphere of fear. Consequently, we pursued their externment to restore public confidence.”

SPI Rajendra Mokashi further emphasized that the gang’s notorious reputation contributed to a reluctance among the public to come forward with complaints against them.

Bringing Relief and Reassurance

The bold decision to extern the Dudhani gang is anticipated to offer a sense of relief and reassurance to the local populace, freeing them from the clutches of fear imposed by the gang’s activities.

This proactive move seeks to send a clear message that criminal enterprises will not go unchallenged within Pune’s boundaries.

By taking a resolute stance against criminal syndicates, the authorities aim to restore a sense of security to the affected communities while dismantling the networks that perpetuate violence and illegal activities.
