Pune Gangland: Chinchwad-Based ‘Mama’ Gang Associate Apprehended for Minor Girl’s Kidnapping in Thane

In a recent development, a member affiliated with the notorious ‘Mama’ gang, based in Chinchwad, was apprehended by the Thane police’s crime branch.
The arrest was made in connection with the abduction of a minor girl, highlighting the gang’s involvement in criminal activities.
Abduction and Criminal Offense
The accused, identified as Suresh alias Anna Mochi (25), was taken into custody for the kidnapping of a sixteen-year-old girl from Chinchwad on Wednesday, October 30.
The incident prompted the registration of a formal complaint under section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code at Chinchwad police station.
Swift Action and Rescue Operation
Prompt action by the authorities led to the apprehension of the suspect.
Acting on valuable information, the police managed to locate and arrest Suresh alias Anna Mochi in Ulhasnagar town, situated in Maharashtra’s Thane district.
The successful operation not only resulted in the arrest of the suspect but also facilitated the rescue of the abducted girl.

The arrested individual, Suresh alias Anna Mochi, has a history of criminal activities.
Multiple offenses have been registered against him across various police stations, including Pimpri, Dehu Road, and Sangvi.
Incarceration of ‘Mama’ Gang Leadership
It is noteworthy that the leader of the ‘Mama’ gang, Akash Randive, along with six other members, has been incarcerated at Yerawada Central Jail in Pune since the year 2016.
This incarceration reflects law enforcement’s continued efforts to curb the activities of criminal organizations and maintain public safety.
